The High Voltage and Energy Storage Group (HVES) is a research group within the School of Engineering, Computing, and Mathematics at Oxford Brookes University. The group is actively expanding its capabilities to include state-of-art electrification equipment.
The group’s focus is developing novel solutions to challenges within the energy storage and future of transport fields. This includes multi-scale numerical modelling, electrochemical testing of lithium-ion batteries, optimal control research for battery management and high-voltage tractive systems. The group also has experience in high power motorsport battery pack design and second-life applications.
